Once environmental coverage is identified, our team works with the Bank, and/or the buyer to secure historical insurance policy information consistent with current professional practices under similar conditions. We work in collaboration to form an Environmental Cost Recovery Plan - all designed to pay for site costs associated with environmental investigation, remediation and legal fees.
Service details include:

  • Insurance Archeology and Cost Recovery - Full records search in Regional, City and County Archives, including the Recorder’s Office. Additional tasks include a title search, available insurance records and financial records search, including Ecology records search in an effort to collect past environmental studies and/or remedial actions in support of the Environmental Insurance Cost Recovery Program.
  • Potentially Liable Party (PLP) Cost Recovery - Target PLP’s include property owners found in title and historical lessees (users/operators) that may have contributed to the asset's environmental impairment.
